A newcomer to the mainland, I was raised in Wellington, where I completed a BA in
Modern Languages at Victoria University, followed by a number of years in the IT
industry. I then spent a happy 12 years as a stay-at-home mother, during which time I
also taught English to refugees, ran a cub scout group, coached netball, moved with my
family overseas and back and around New Zealand, gained a post-grad teaching
qualification – yes, it was a busy time!
In 2004, after settling in Palmerston North, my husband and I set up and grew an awardwinning
business designing and manufacturing machines to fill long-life beverages into
bottles. This past summer has seen us move the business to a new base in Christchurch,
at which point I decided to step out on my own into a new career in Real Estate. I am
really excited about both our new city and my new career, and am eager to bring the
business and marketing skills honed in our own business to this new venture.
